OVERDICK designed a 300t inshore floating crane barge. Its main purpose will be to load and unload to and from ships and transport heavy cargo items in the port of areas.
A pedestal-mounted double-boom crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 360t at 28m outreach will allow for quick and precise lifting operations. The high flow rate of the ballast system is designed to cope with the crane operation requirements.
The vessel will be classed and registered as an inland navigation vessel, but its hull and main components shall be designed and build for coastal service. This shall facilitate a possible upgrade of the barge.
